This online exhibition celebrates the young winners and finalists of the Streetcake Experimental Writing Prize 2020 which is a strong force in the UK experimental poetry. This year's winners in the poetry division were selected by judges Sascha Akhtar and Astra Papachristodoulou. You can buy a copy of Streetcake Prize Winners' anthology here.

Refraction, the change in direction of a wave passing from one medium to another, is a fine metaphor for poets keen to experiment and hop between practices to explore the boundaries of language. This exhibition of visual poetry celebrates young talent as well as the experimental poetry tradition. Each poet adds their own interpretation of this theme using their own unique poetic voice. With thanks to the editors of Streetcake, Nikki Dudley and Trini Decombe, for kindly assisting in the organisation of this event.

This online exhibition features some brilliant poets associated with the Streetcake Experimental Writing Prize. It showcases some of this year’s young winners and finalists including E. J. Coates, Jack Cooper, Milena Williamson, Max Shirley, Sam Kemp, Ollie Charles, and his collaborator Anwar Akbur. The exhibition also exhibits work from the dynamic Stretcake poetry editors Nikki Dudley and Trini Decombe, poetry judge Astra Papachristodoulou and patron Steven J Fowler.
